Britney: For the Record
Written by Suzanne on November 29, 2008Only in Hollywood can you go from shaving your head in front of the paparazzi, losing custody of your kids, and wearing a pink wig at Rite Aid to winning awards, touring Europe, and talking about it on MTV.
Britney: For the Record will be airing on MTV, Sunday, November 30 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. Finally, we can find out what the hell was going on in the mind of Britney Spears! MTV says, “This ain’t no tabloid expose.”
I’m positive if I was in Britney’s dance shoes I would have lost it years before she did. No matter how much money or fame a person acquires, we are all human and deserve the right to run into Starbucks sans makeup without getting our picture taken. If I had the paps following me from park day to play date to Target, I’d probably be attacking with an umbrella too.

I think I’d go a little whacko if I had people following me everywhere. Guess it’s the price you pay when becoming a celebrity.

Couldn’t agree more. Funny thing is, I’m not a huge Britney fan, but I feel like being surrounded by a CONSTANT mob of people, being screamed at, having an ex-boyfriend villify me through music videos (he strikes me as a real whiner), never living ANYTHING down, and being made to pose in my underwear on Rolling Stone as a minor…how could she not have have a breakdown? It’s all too natural.

puhlease.
she’s a no talent hack who should’ve stayed in the trailer park where she belongs. i will never buy into the fact that someone who is worth 100′s of millions of dollars cannot find a way to have some privacy. other celebs do it.
not to mention, you don’t see a bunch of other celebs having “breakdowns.”
its impossible for me to feel sorry for someone with so much wealth while i struggle from paycheck to paycheck worrying about whether or not i’ll have a job next week.
people like her need to grow up and get a life outside of the paparazzi. hell, her boyfriend used to be paparazzi. ridiculous.
i wish she’d retire, move to dubai and never be heard from again.

As far as idiotic nutbrains go, I prefer watching Paris Hilton on TV.

I really tried not to respond because being a mother is such a HUGE part of my life so I was afraid I would criticize her too much. I understand other Moms do things differently and I even realized that I made mistakes with my kids especially when I was young and having hard times. But it is hard for me to accept that someone could mess up so bad that they would not have their kids living with them. On the other hand she was very young to be thrown into this giant world of money and fame–but I think that is more the fault of HER mother, I’m not saying it was entirely her fault, but show business is hard to handle even for an adult-so why subject our kids to it? Or let it get so big so fast, and let a 16 yr old become a sex symbol?

@M I think the main reason people subject their kids to showbiz would be MONEY. Of course it usually does stem from a dream, talent, and inspiration. The paps are there constantly because of MONEY. If there is any passion I’d say it’s passion for cold hard cash.
