Road Warrior Weekend

Listen up Mad Max fans and anyone who loves creative fun!

A friend of mine, Scarlett Harlott, is hosting a 3-day camping/ RV event in the beautiful Southern California Mojave Desert. Scarlett isn’t your ordinary kind of woman and this event isn’t either! The Road Warrior Weekend is an extraordinary 3 day experience bringing the Mad Max movies to life via creativity and costumes.

“Kind of like a post-apocalyptic Burning Man… without the hippies!”

This is one of the most unique events to happen in a very long time!
People need to realize how incredible this event is, a 360* world of the post apocalyptic world of Mad Max! Everyone who goes dresses up in the style of the movies and there will be cars of the film, vendors and performances there whole weekend!
Not to mention freaking Wez from the second and “Best” film!
I have my ticket and can’t wait to make it out to the desert and enjoy this 3-day event of raising wastelander hell!
Truly, this is not an event to pass up!!!!

I’ve heard there are people driving mad max-style vehicles to this thing from all over the country. And this isn’t like some kind of fan convention – I’ve heard some kind of appropriate post-apocalyptic outfit/costume is REQUIRED to attend so that nothing breaks the illusion of being in the movies.
    Sounds awesome.
I want to go this year before it gets co-opted by the media and corporate sponsers in future years (I’m talking about you burning man)

This event will be AWESOME! Can’t wait!

Manny- Burning Man is a participant based event. As such, Death Guild is a kick ass San Francisco based group that has set up a yearly ‘Thunderdome’ camp at Burning Man. They host bungee cord fighting and keep the spirit and excitement up from the movie. They have been setting their camp up since at least 2000. Because of the diversity at BM, it’s not a 100% post-apocalyptic environment, which is why this weekend will be so awesome. There are actually a lot of Burners who find inspiration from the Mad Max films and are coming out this weekend :-)

Let it also be noted, I could do without the hippies!
