Suzy Homemaker

I’ve been scouring the internet shelves to find out more about the name Suzy Homemaker. Did the name originate with the Suzy Homemaker toy line or were the toys inspired by a real life Suzy of homemaker fame?
With not many clues to be found, I did dust off various craft blogs, vintage apron seller sites, and great retro commercials like this one:

Diane, yeah they look better than some of the appliances I’ve seen at Big Lots. ;)
Either cost was too much for “working toys” like those for kids, or maybe there were injuries reported and they were taken off the market.

I seem to remember having something in the Suzy homemaker line.

Toys used to be cool. Might have been very unsafe, but still cool :)

My grandmother bought me the oven when I was a kid. I loved it. A person in my town was selling the oven, washer, & sink for $40.00 I snapped them up. I love to collect vintage stuff. I have my Marx Big Wheel too!!!
