Mildred Pierce

Most of my favorite shows are on HBO. In the last few months, I’ve been anticipating the premiere of HBO’s latest mini-series, Mildred Pierce.

I’ve been fond of Kate Winslet ever since watching Titanic. Yes, I was one of those washed away by the Winslet/DiCaprio romance. I also liked a film from the 90′s called Hideous Kinky. Being the Depp fan that I am, one of my favorite films starring the Acadamy Award winning actress is of course, Finding Neverland.

I haven’t read the novel, Mildred Pierce (1941) or watched the 1945 film starring Joan Crawford. Have you?

Sadly, I didn’t set the DVR on Sunday night. Did you catch the Mildred Pierce mini-series on HBO? What did you think?

Oh Sookie

Written by Suzanne on June 25, 2010 – 2:55 pm -

I’m sad that the season of Breaking Bad  is over but True Blood is alive again with the highly anticipated Season 3. There’s more Bill, more Eric and more naked men per episode. YOWZA!

Werewolves, vamp royalty, Tara crazies and of course the ongoing stress of poor Sookie. Can’t that girl ever sit down and enjoy some sweet tea in peace?

Something even wackier than Tara’s mama is the Snoop Dogg’s ode to Sookie Stackhouse. If you haven’t yet, check out Snoop Dogg gone Tru Pimp in this video for “Oh Sookie”.

Remember to grab your 4 pack of Tru Blood beverage and watch on Sunday nights 9:00 PM. I’ve been watching any day of the week on my laptop via http://hbogo.com

True Blood

Written by Suzanne on October 21, 2008 – 6:11 am -

Legions of vampire fans are praising the new HBO series, True Blood. You don’t have to be a fan of the undead to find this show intriguing. It’s a well done, smart show, with a modern and original twist to vampire legend.

Since the 1800’s, with the birth of Bram Stoker’s Dracula, the vampire genre has spawned generations of books, films, and television shows. Bela Lugosi and Barnabas Collins to Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Blade, vampire based stories fascinate audiences.

Do you find yourself eagerly waiting for Sunday night? Have you been bitten by the new HBO series, True Blood? Are you wondering what a bottle of Type O Tru Blood beverage really tastes like?
