5 Breaking News Headlines We Knew Already
Written by Suzanne on September 26, 2008 – 3:00 am -1. Lindsay Lohen Says She Is Dating Samantha Ronson
For months, every time I stood in line at the checkout counter I’d see Lindsay & Samantha on the cover of magazines appearing to be on more than a BFF shopping spree. Was this really such a big surprise and should we care anyway?
2. Clay Aiken Stepped Out Of The Closet
Even before the highlights and pressed powder makeover, American Idol viewers suspected Clay might have a preference other than his female contestants. Once again I’ll ask this question, “Was this really such a big surprise and should we care anyway?”
3. President Bush Says, Our Entire Economy Is In Danger
He may not be the quickest bull in the herd but this video sure is funny:
I’m sure they wanted to wait and send out a Presidential Message when they knew we really were in deep manure, but I find these headlines suggesting the obvious entertaining.
Of course his statement is worth pondering, planning, and for some, downright worrying until we can’t sleep at night. Politicians and the media are throwing around the depression term now, which does sound dangerous. There is nothing like danger to fuel the masses into following an agenda.
The entertainment industry needs to lend us a hand at forgetting our troubles and trying to look at the bright side of life. I can see a remake of this number coming soon, hopefully not being done by Hannah Montana. Danger!
4. Zumba Zooms To The Top Of The Exercise World!
I don’t know about you guys, but I saw this coming. Any exercise with the name Zumba will of course rise to the top. It’s all in the name, remember Tae-Bo? All you need is a catchy name and some catchy beats to move along with! Check out this intense promotional video for the Zumba Revolution. Not to be confused with the Chihuahua Revolution coming soon to a theater near you!
5. Knight Rider Not Up To Speed
Hmm, ya think? I thought this the moment I watched the previews for the new Knight Rider. First of all, the old Knight Rider was great because it was the 80’s. Aqua net, neon clothes, and rolled jeans were cool. David Hasselhoff was even cool in his terry cloth short shorts, but it was the novelty of the show that made it work. That and KITT. The voice of KITT was perfect. This re-make was voiced by Val Kilmer and although I could hear him say, “I’m your huckleberry” more than a few times, his voice just doesn’t evoke the same KITT we all knew and wanted to drive around in. We, meaning my junior high friends and my Great Aunt. She thought David Hasselhoff was a hottie.
Now this Alternate Knight Rider Intro looks promising:
