Wires in the Walls

Wires in the Walls, is a Los Angeles based indie rock band. I have an eclectic taste in music. They have a nice mix of rock and alternative country.

Here’s a blurb from their MySpace profile:

“The band’s music draws from a diverse set of influences, including the alt-country styles of groups such as Wilco and the Old 97s, the rock swagger of the Rolling Stones, and the catchy art-pop sounds of Ryan Adams and Death Cab for Cutie. Hummable melodies, solid guitar hooks and lush arrangements mark Wires in the Walls’ energetic live performances, as well as their distinctive 2008 debut self-titled EP.”

If I didn’t already have plans I’d see them live on Saturday. Check them out if you can and tell them Housewife in Hollywood sent you.

6/6/2009 9:30 PM at Molly Malone’s
575 S. Fairfax Avenue, Los Angeles, California 90036

Sounds good! They have a good sound, nice n smooth.
Their name ‘Wires in the Walls’ reminds me of the Gary Numan song ‘metal’ as part of the lyrics go: “I’d love to pull the wires from the wall. Did you?”
